George WhitesideGeorge Whiteside has received authorization to teach Ashtanga Yoga from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. He first learned the practice in 1996. Since then, he has travelled to Mysore numerous times for further study. He opened Ashtanga Yoga Boston in 2006 and teaches morning Mysore-style and Friday led class. With deep respect, his teaching is dedicated to the yoga tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Jean ChoJean Cho received authorization to teach Ashtanga Yoga from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2007. Jean first travelled to Mysore, India in 2003 to study under Jois and has made annual trips to his institute ever since. Since his passing in 2009, she continues on the Ashtanga path with Jois' grandson, R. Sharath Jois. Jean respectfully and with deepest gratitude dedicates her teaching to the yoga tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, to the Jois family, and to the teachers who have inspired her along her journey.

Jade JumpJade Jump began practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2008 under the guidance of Jean Cho and George Whiteside. Having moved across the street from the Ashtanga school, she took a great curiosity as to what it was and, after reading up on the practice, decided it was something she wanted to try out. Since her first class with Jean, Jade knew that she had begun something that would transform her in many ways. In 2010, Jade was offered the position of apprentice under the guidance of George and Jean. She now teaches the evening Mysore class at the school. Jade respectfully dedicates her learning and teaching to the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Monica MarinoniMonica Marinoni is a dedicated student of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois, with whom she currently studies. For the past eight years she has taught the practice at her own school in Auroville, India, where she lives with her two sons. In recent years Monica has travelled around the world offering classes and workshops. She is a skilled and empathetic teacher who cares deeply about the practice and her students. In 2009, Monica received Level 2 Authorization to teach Primary and Intermediate Series from the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India. This is her second time as a guest teacher at Ashtanga Yoga Boston.

Erin CooneyErin Cooney began a dedicated Ashtanga yoga practice after meeting and practicing with Guruji in New York in 2005. She has continued her practice since then under the guidance of teachers here in Boston and in India, including R. Sharath Jois. Erin has taught at Ashtanga Yoga Boston and at local universities including Tufts, Northeastern and Harvard's American Repertory Theater Institute. She also works therapeutically with private clients. She brings to her teaching common sense, wisdom and an intuitive understanding of how to work with students. She is currently teaching morning classes for George.
